The data analyzed by plex server is put on Disk C by default, which is close to 1000 video files. It has occupied more than 100g of space after analysis. I want to put it in other drive letters, but I can’t find the setting to modify the path!! The system disk is almost full!
One of the Plex ninjas penned this how-to describing how to move your Plex data (including the database) to a new location under Windows:
But after I transferred the files, I restarted the software, and it created the folder in its original path!!
Then you either didn’t follow it correctly or you oversaw the “Addendum” part.
How big is this folder on C: now?
可以详细说一下吗?
Can you elaborate?
More than 100 g
What is the content now of the LocalAppDataPath key? Please provide it exactly like it is on your computer.
Still the same, software off, reset the library, folder or automatically created in C disk
I erased your post again, because it contained your plex token.
You made the mistake which I mentioned explicitly in the guide, to avoid:
You included Plex Media Server as the last part of the path.
In your case, the string should be only E:\plex\ (don’t forget the backslash \ at the end)
Does the hard drive still have the drive letter E: ?
There is a second string in the registry, in a different place, which you need to change in a similar way.
The location is described under the Subheading “Addendum” in my guide.
So? :E:\plex\Plex Media Server\
No. Just E:\plex\
我试一下。。。
Thank you very much!!!
