so I am looking to setup a VPN on my router, meaning the router will server as the client. My concern is giving up remote access to my Plex server. Has anyone done this successfully and if so through what service? I am running Advanced Tomato on my router so I am part of the way there.
What goal are you trying to achieve?
I would like to have my Plex server behind a VPN, which would be running on the router as a client. In my perfect world I would have remote access to the Plex server as well. Having the VPN on the router would secure all of the devices I have in my network.
Are you trying to use a third party VPN provider or create your own?
I plan on using a third party VPN. I have been doing some research and have eliminated those who do not support port forwarding with their service.
