Elan, will this fix also correct the regression where local auth preemption is ignored?
Latest Update “Breaks” Local “No Auth” - Plex Media Server - Plex Forum
Someone speculated that it might but not certain.

Just wondering: When should I see this fixed? I can still visit my reverse proxied Plex through incognito and I still see the Plex content.
supposedly it will be in the next PMS release, but when that will be… no idea
There has not been one for a couple of weeks, so hopefully soon
I wonder if this or the vaccine comes first.
At last… it finally made it…
(now I just have to put with the ordering forced by Library type now when clicking more)
I don’t see in the changelog s , any mention about this problem.
Does it really been fixed ? (in the beta channel witch I’m not using).
I just tried it in an incognito browser window.
The version of the web app which is bundled with server version 1.21.2.3918 does no longer show online media sources, unless it is signed into a plex.tv account.
Its interesting that the internal client is a higher version than the one from app.plex.tv.
Not true.
The local web app is 4.48.1
The hosted web app is 4.50.1
Sorry, your right … my old eyes playing tricks on me
tbh, the changelogs are never very detailed. I guess the clue is this bit
(Web) Updated to 4.81.1
Ok, so I’ll have to wait for a stable release soon I hope
As @blim5001 pointed out the change log is incorrect as it is saying the web app was updated to version 4.81.1. Might want to let @StSimm1 know so they can update the change log.

Fixed.
when the new version will be push to docker?
Surely vaccine will come first before Plex people push a quiet fix to revert this terrible mess-up.
Also now, the wording when you try to login to your own site is completely confusing and is only partially true.
The page says that this application “is not hosted by Plex”. Although the web site itself is not hosted by Plex, the third party content available in my site are offered, hosted, and delivered by Plex. I don’t have the control anymore to decide what I am offering on my site.
Well, you don’t even bother with punctuations in your replies for one.
Your staff talked to people in this thread like they are idiots and argued against them.
The fix hasn’t arrived, it should have been removed as an emergency hot fix and only reintroduced after a discussion on how to implement it better.
You’ve pushed out multiple larger features, the arcade for instance, instead of addressing this.
And you’ve just thrown around bullshit about “COVID” as a reason to push your crap. Thanks for treating people like idiots.
I came to this thread this one last time to see if you’ve cut the bullshit. Guess not. I already migrated to Jellyfin but kept Plex up just in case. Don’t need to keep it around anymore. Good bye.
The fix is realsed though.
I am running 1.21.2.3943 now and it is working as expected. Visiting the site as an unauthenticated user shows the login page and requires a login to proceed. Thank you for fixing this!
