I was discuss this issue a year ago, can’t find the original post, but it still seems to be an issue.
I’ve added ‘XMAS’ and ‘18’ to [MOOD] for music tracks so I can filter out explicit lyrics and Xmas Songs.
I filter to MOOD is NOT ‘XMAS’ or ‘18’ AND TrackRating is EMPTY.
I SaveAs Smart PlayList.
I then open that smart list and I see tracks I know have been rated and track which are marked as 18.
If I try to ‘EDIT FILTERS’, it only shows ‘is not XMAS’. Why is this so difficult to get right? Does anyone have any tricks to get it working or know about any dev work planned?
This has been an issue for a long time, how is ‘trying again’ going to help. How has Plex not managed to get something so simple working.
I’ve created new filters so many times hoping it would work ‘the next time’, but no. Save as SMART PLAYLIST, go MUSIC > PLAYLIST > ‘PLAYLIST NAME’ and it’s back to showing pretty much everything.
I’m hot happy, I’m paying for a product which is not stable.
The version number you gave above tells me that you are using the local web app. This one is several versions behind the one that is available under the above link.
There have been fixes lately, to the smart playlists.
That’s why it may be beneficial to try the newer web app.
Track Mood NOT (‘XMAS’, ‘18’) << from pick list, so all in same filter row
AND Rating IS empty.
You save, go back into it, nothing has changed and you try to edit the filters, it only comes back with one filter Track Mood NOT ‘XMAS’. This is whilst using Plex locally (via :32400) or using plex.
I think the big take for me, isn’t just that it’s not showing the correct songs after saving, it is that when you go back in to edit the filters, there’s only a single filter value there.
