Plex suddenly stops working - continuously need to restart entire server

Server Version#: 1.41.2
Player Version#: 4.140.0
Ubuntu Server#: 24.04.01

Plex stops working every few days (what I mean is it will show up as offline or not respond to request). I ssh in and try to restart Plex only but it’s not responsive to “systemctl restart plexmediasever” command and I have to restart the entire system to bring back the Plex server.
For context I have docker images running on same machine.
Radarr, Sonarr, Lidarr, Bazarr, PIA tied with QBittorent.

I am not sure if my system can’t handle with much or the issue is in Ubuntu 24.04

If PMS isn’t responding to systemctl then there is a much bigger issue.

When Plex next stops or now if still stopped,

  1. Make a tar.gz of the “Logs” directory (under /var/lib/plexmediaserver)
  2. Attach that tar.gz here

We’ll look at it and see why, if possible, it stopped.

It happened again just now but I captured the wrong file and I already restart the server, I will have to wait a little longer till it happens again. Also thinking about I think this might be bad ram because this computer was built in 2016 and I used for gaming before converting it to server.

@MoscowShock

Download the entire ZIP from the server after restart.
That ZIP contains what I need

Hi, sorry for the wait, I just managed to capture the logs.
This one is with plex stopped, the stop command in systemctl worked plex2.tar.gz (5.2 MB)
This one is with plex active status in systemctl but not responding to web requests plex.tar.gz (5.2 MB)

@MoscowShock

Thanks for the logs.

I see where it suddenly stops responding.

I also see a bunch of networking errors which shouldn’t be there.
It looks like it’s certificate related

Your LAN is IPv4.
I suggest you turn off IPv6 support (Settings - Server - Network - SHOW ADVANCED)

Got it thank you. I got that turned off.
