Plex sync only within same subnet as server

Hi,

I’ve seen a few mention on this in the forum but no dedicated feature request, so here I go:

It would be great to limit plex sync to when PMS and the app/player are on the same network. We can only limit mobile data use by sync or block remote PMS access but those don’t cover the same needs (ex: streaming may still be OK). Many of us still have metered internet access at home…

Limiting to the same network is probably the simplest route, even if geofencing could also work on players…

+1 Option to not sync on a metered network either would be nice. I have a router in my RV connected to a cellular hotspot. Router clients do not know they are on cellular, therefore, I set the network connection as metered.
