Hi,

I could really use some help with this problem.

Playback on some video items stops after ± 30 minutes with a warning that transcode worker has died. This does not happen with all video files.

I’m not 100% sure when it started happening but it was roughly 1,5 months ago. The video files itself are fine, as in if I open them in VLC Media player I can play them entirely.

Server logs are attached.

You’ll see multiple warnings like:

I played around with various transcode settings, nothing seems to help. I first thought it might be a RAM issue (I tried a path outside /tmp as well for transcoding). Plex is running on:

Intel Dawson Canyon NUC7i7DNHE Kit
Samsung 970 EVO 500 GB M.2
Crucial 16 GB SODIMM DDR4-2400 Kit 2 x 8 GB

My NAS is mounted through a NFS share. This setup has been running fine for over a year until recently.

Resolved the problem by changing the NFS share to a SMB one. Still curious why the NFS share didn’t give any problems in the ~2 years.
