What a manufacturers allows with their own embedded software which they actively try to entice folks to use, is not always the same as what they allow third party developers to use.

The Plex LG and Samsung apps are very similar, and the limitation still exists in the LG app.
If Plex Media Server is direct streaming media, such as when audio is transcoding, enabling any form of subtitle results in a video transcode to burn in subtitles.
It would be great if that is no longer the case.
It has always been that way. It changed it seems. The subtitles don’t get burnt in, but the audio gets transcoded. (I also have video transcoding disabled anyway if that info is crucial, but it doesn’t make any difference)
