Plex Transcoding using 100% of My CPU

Hello,

I use Plex on my gaming Rig everything including my Local Movies and Tv shows.

The Problem is that when someone watches a movie or TV show on another device my CPUhas massive spikes hitting 90% -100% this is absolutely stupid. i cant play my games on my PC at the same time becuase my Frame rate keeps spiking.

My question is, is Transcoding a necessary thing? How can i disable it.

Below are my PC specs -

OS - Windows 10 Pro
GPU - Nvidia GTX 1080
CPU - Intel i7 6700k
Motherboard - Asrock z170
RAM - 16gb DDR4 3000mhz

Get a device that will handle direct play on the other side. What devices are playing?

I use My Xbox One S, Brother Uses his Chromecast.

Please provide media info of your typical files.

Neither devices will support DTS. Hence at the very least audio transcoding will have to occur.

So how can this be disabled?
