I submitted the issue to the dev team when first raised. I set the priority pretty high. I do not have influence on their resource scheduling / planning. There is nothing more I can do.

Yeah, I’ve seen gbooker responses and while depressing its nothing to do with this thread. The plex for linux client works prefectly, I use it every day. But this outdated package needs to be updated but as of now its not critical nor the end of the world :slight_smile:

I don’t trust out-of-date run-times on my system for longer periods of time and it shows that Plex doesn’t really care and take security seriously. So that brings the question, if they don’t take security seriously is my data safe with Plex.

I think you are correct. 6 months ago I was the last who worked on the Desktop apps and it was at best a side project with my primary focus being PMS. Now, I believe there is no one working on it. That is why I started a different thread: Are the Desktop Apps Dead?.
