I’ve watched several Broadcast DVR recordings with the latest Apple TV beta and the deinterlacing is working good. Still not on par with the Channels app but better than the current version of Infuse. The Channels app is an all around great experience watching recordings.
In the latest Plex tvOS beta I see very little judder and tearing. I have been using MrMc to watch my recordings since the non-beta version of the Plex app doesn’t direct play. Also, tried infuse but watching interlaced Broadcast recordings wasn’t as good as MrMc. To much tearing in the video.
Although I think a little more work is needed in deinterlacing to get on par with the Channels app this is a great first iteration. I will now use the Plex app to view all my DVR recordings. Great Job!
