On my Plex server running OS X, version 1.11.2.4772
if i go into show “package contents” and then navigate into the Resources folder i can find my “Comskip ini”
which i can manually tune,
But recently with the last three updates, if i don’t remove the “ini” File manually to my desktop out of the resources folder the Update will fail to install.
After moving it out, i can update my Plex and then i manually add the “ini” file back.
My plex works great cutting out commercials, but i am wondering where is the Ini file in the latest version of plex,
and do i have to keep moving my “ini” file in and out of the resources folder.
I think this location was from the initial beta release of of the commercial cutting out
any ideas would be appreciated

I must be the only prison who is having this issue,
Again i updated yesterday with the new update,
and low and behold it failed and threw up a dialogue box, the only way to install the update is to move the ini file out of the resource folder,
This time i have left the ini file out to see weather the “remove commercial” still works,
if this does work, my next question is where is the ini file kept in the update
so i can fine tune this
I am guessing you did not follow the instructions in the Removing Commercials support article. At the bottom is a section titled: Customizing How Commercials are Located and Removed. It sounds like you are modifying the ini file provided by Plex instead of creating a DVR folder to hold your modified ini file. The Resources folder is where the ini file provided by Plex would be located.
