Custom comskip.ini not working on Synology install

Has anyone else setup a custom comskip.ini file on the DVR folder created in the application folder? I followed this article https://support.plex.tv/articles/202915258-where-is-the-plex-media-server-data-directory-located/?_ga=2.161771836.105649107.1576685964-1858752458.1576519907 and setup a copy of the comskip.ini with one change. However now none of my commercials are being cut. Is there a way to grab the logs from the post process to remove commercials to see if there is an issue? I’m in NA and tried enabling the intelligent brightness in the file hoping it would help a bit but now it just doesn’t remove any commercials.

could be a permissions issue, make sure the folder/file is owned by plex:plex (or whatever user your plex runs under)

I just looked and root was the owner so i’m guessing that might be it. Just changed the permissions so I will see next time. Does anyone know of a way to force a commercial removal on an existing recording?

You can do it using MCEBuddy… It also uses comskip, so you can use your custom .ini file for it…
