Plex Updating Libraries Will Not Open

Server Version#: 1.28.0.5998
Player Version#: 4.29.2
OS Windows 10
On 7/22/22 I updated to the latest Windows version (see above), now my server no longer runs.

When I open the player and select settings I see the message in the sidebar The server “Basement-1” is unreachable. Make sure it’s running, double check your network, and try again.. This happens on the same desktop as the server, another desktop and the ROKU devices. Everything is hardwired and I can see files over the two systems.

When I attempt to open the server I get the dialog box “updating libraries” and the icon disappears from the task bar. When I open the task manager it is not running.

I even attempted a repair and uninstall. Any and all help is appreciated.

Here are the logs if anyone can help me.

You need to perform the repair procedure

Afterwards, leave plenty of time for the first startup. It may take a while, depending on the size of your media collection.

Thank you OttoKerner. I wound up taking the easy way and deleted the database. I created the libraries again, went to bed and let Plex do it’s thing at night. Woke up only having to make to make some tweaks.

That’s not the worst option if you don’t make too many manual edits to the meta data.

This appears to be a problem with the 1.28 upgrade. I have had corrupted database on 4 upgrades of working systems now on Synology and Unraid dockers. No easy fix with 80tb of media.
