Hello, I recently created a new user for my wife so plex can track each of our episodes that we watch separately. But I have some shared server from some friends and she cannot see them and ONLY I can. This is a problem since there are shows and movies that she likes and we are having some trouble with this. Does anyone know if there is a fix for this or we do we just have to wait until plex realizes that the different users under my login should have access to the shared servers for my account?
This question has come up before, and the general consensus has been that users should not be able to share servers that have been shared with them. If you share your library with 5 friends, and they each share your library with 5 friends, now your library is shared with 30 people, which may be more than your server is capable of supporting. It also means your server may be shared with people you don’t know, which a lot of people object to.
The best thing to do would be to ask the friends who share their libraries with you to share with your wife too.
