Plex v1.18.3.2156 failing to start as a service : missing certificate

Server Version#: v1.18.3.2156
Player Version#: web

My Plex Media Server is installed via the Chocolatey package. Every night on my server, a job runs that shuts down the Plex Media Server service and then attempts to upgrade all chocolatey packages. This has been working well for a number of Plex Media Server upgrades. The server is installed and managed as a service using NSSM. This has been stable for over a year.

On Tue 17-Dec-2019 a new package was released and installed. Since then, the Plex Media Service has been restarting constantly as seen in the Event Viewer.

Reviewing the Plex Media Server.log (2.9 KB) indicates that there is an issue with a missing certificate file and the easyaudioencoder.

What changed with the previous chocolatey package compared to this version? How can I resolve this issue?

Issue has been resolved. I used the same fix as found in a previous thread:

  1. Issue command nssm stop plex
  2. Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Plex\Plex Media Server\Resources
  3. Locate file dh512.pem
  4. Copy file dh512.pem to file cacert.pem
  5. Issue command nssm start plex
  6. Access http://localhost:32400/ to confirm server is present

Now the issue is “No soup for you!” - You do not have access to this server. Any ideas?

When I access the site via the standard web app I can see everything I was previously missing. I can’t view or manage my server from the local web app.

This does not seem like expected behaviour.
