Plex Version 4.69.1 adding VOBs under Plex TV Series scanner

Hi all,

Plex Version 4.69.1 now adds DVD VOBs stored in library directories when using “Plex TV Series” scanner. Plex does not add VOBs when using the old “Plex Series Scanner”.

Anyone have any clues on how to fix the new scanner?

Either remove the VOBs, convert them to MKV, or use a .plexignore file.

Thanks Otto. I added the .plexignore files to my library which corrected the problem.

Since the “Plex TV Series” scanner is the only scanner that incorrectly adds VOBs, and the behavior recently appeared in a patch, it’s certainly a bug. Since it has a workaround, it’s low priority. Otherwise, if it’s a future feature, it leaked into the patch source code branch
