Scanning TV Episodes DVD
Hi,I'm not a Plex developer but only a user.
On the other hand I am a software developer.
I wanted to know if this is possible to do using plugins.
I have a lot of TV DVD. As you might know Plex has a hard time knowing the this is a TV DVD and so they cannot be added to the Media Manager.
The problem is the the TV scanner looks at the DVD (Lets say lost season 1, DVD 1, that has episodes 1-4 on it) and sees that it has a lot of VOB files and then decided that this DVD is actually episodes 1-16. Also when you try to run it it will not run the IFO file as it should but run the VOB file which might or might not work. And last you will not have any subtitles.
So what I'm asking is can this be fixed with a plug-in - if so I will dive into the code and do it myself.
