Is there any way to disable/remove the background images on files so that when a video is loading you don’t have to see an image? But instead only see a black screen? I don’t like the images randomly generated by Plex on personal media files and I also don’t always like what appears on movies and TV shows either.
I can’t find any way to delete those background images or to stop them from appearing during the loading screen before videos start playing. These backgrounds don’t even load properly, many times I’ll load a file and it shows a black screen for most of the load, then a split second before the video starts playing the background image appears briefly. Other times the background image is there immediately and stays onscreen for the entire time the file is loading. It’s really inconsistent and stupid.
All I want to see when a file is loading is a black background as it loads up to 100%. I want to see NO IMAGES at all from the file or art from the internet! I can’t find any option on the Roku or on the Plex website to delete these background images or to stop them from appearing when a file is loading, it’s ridiculous.
Plex needs to fix this, why is there no clear option to switch to a blank black background when a file is loading? With all the annoying and useless features Plex is constantly adding you would think that something as simple and basic as this would already be available.
I want these file loading images gone!
