Iv been reading this thread trying to get Plex Export to work for me but i have yet to be successful.
I am using windows with chrome (a few attempts with fire fox as well). Plex installed on my NAS (Synology DS411j)
I have DL'd the files from gethub and followed the read me as well as info from this thread but i fail to get past the "loading" screen, I did walk away for lunch (2 hrs) and it was still "loading"....

P.S I use notepad ++ for the PHP work
Check the rights/ownership of the files....
The deamon that runs your apache needs to have access to them, or you'll end up with that exact symptom

Thank you for the fast response,
I am still having trouble tho (same symptom ).... I went into each folder and allowed "full control" to everyone.... I should also point out that i am also a php noob so it could be possible that im using the wrong address... how can i check for this possible issue ?
Im currently using "http://MY-NAS-IP-HERE:32400" dose that seem right ?

I guess this means that your web-server is running Windows, but what web-server are you using?
And not a Windows Noob, so can't help mush here, but can say, that the deamon/service running your webserver is the one that need's the rights, and it's only on the output directory of the Plex Export, not on the PMS media directories

You'll need a web-server, and then after configuring "Plex Export" with the right settings, put the output from that somewhere in the document tree of that webserver

I have a web server running and iv placed the export files within the directory, I launch the php file via web browser and after a long wait i get the following error "Warning: fwrite() expects parameter 1 to be resource, string given in /volume1/web/cli.php on line 603 ".... any ideas ?

Huh......
You update the repository like this:
php cli.php -plex-url=http://:32400
After that's been run, you copy the following to your webserver:
asset directory
plex-data directory
index.html
The webserver doesn't need php, only the machine generating the data
Must admit it took a bit of perseverance to get Plex Export sorted and I had to dumb down my intended setup but I think this was mainly down to my own competence rather than the Plex Export solution but now I have WAMP and PLEX running on the same server then everything is working fine.
The one issue I do have is the public access to my film library. Is there any obvious solution to make the page password protected?
Big thanks to the author and everyone on this forum who has made support possible - nuff respect!
Query, rather than LIBRARY ITEMS count being displayed in the top RH corner of Export, is it possible to get it to display just the number of items in the films folder?
hi,
it's possible to paging the output generated?
because my plex library it's around 1300 movies. the output file generated by plex export v2 it's to heavy to load in browser and when i try to use a filter, browser hang
