Same exact issue, here. I found that if I click the progress bar , or refresh the page it will start back up. It doesn’t pause as much as the video freezes and needs to be restarted every 10 - 15min. Started a few weeks ago with the plex web upgrade. Any fix for this?
I've been trying to reproduce this, but with no luck.
Any chance of some PMS logs? Would also be good to know the conditions in which you launch - is the media server on the LAN, are you playing a single episode/movie, or starting a season? What is the media type, and are you using the flash or HTML video player?
Would be great to get more info to get this reproducible on this side. Thanks!

Hi, how do i find PMS logs?
My plex server is on a dedicated pc with Server 2008 R2 64bit, i7 Quad, 128GB SSD, 8 GB ram. All files at located on an Synology NAS. I started to notice the problem when watching movies and series from work on a PC running Web player(same issues on Chrome an IE) and windows 8.1. My college har the same problem on his computer watching movies from me.
Problem allwas occurs after 12-17 min after starting a movie/episode.
I notice the same problem at home using Windows 8 app on my local lan.
I dont thing that it has to do with banmdwith (sitting on fiber 1000/1000 mbit)
Hopefully they'll show us what's going on. If it's occurring on other machines, and on other clients, then it sounds like a networking or server issue, rather than a client. But we'll see!
I haven't used Plex for a while and before going on holidays, I installed everything on my server again (v. 0.9.9.13.525-197D5ED). The last times with the exact setup (except iOS-App and Server app version) everything worked perfectly. Now the stream pauses every 15min and I have to push the play button again.
I am having the same problem. Latest version of Chrome OS 71.0.3578.127 on a Chromebox and latest version of Plex 1.15.0.659

Transcoding video while recording
Running the media server on a Windows 7 pc with a core I5 processor so transcoding speed should not be a problem.
It’s driving me crazy and I can only assume it is from the latest update since it has never happened before.
I have confirmed that the pausing is only an issue on my Asus Chromebox. Live and recorded playback work fine on a Mibox S, Nvidia Shield TV, Nexus Tablet and various Android phones. I also tried it on a CTL Chromebox (CBX1) (outside of my network) and it worked fine. So it is either a Chrome OS issue or a specific Asus Chromebox issue but it only started occurring after the last update. Is anyone else having issue with pausing with a Chromebox?
