Plex Media Server: Playback Stops after a few Seconds

Hi All -

I have a Synology DS216+II NAS running PMS v. 1.7.5.4035 with a 150/150 internet connection. Here’s the issue:

When playing films via browser in and out of my home video playback stops and returns to the film home screen after about 30 seconds or so. This is a relatively recent issue; prior to this films playback without quitting.

How can I fix this? This is EXTREMELY annoying. Any and all advice would be appreciated.

Thank you for the feedback. I’ve adjusted the remote and internet playback settings and that seems to have resolved the issue. I’m not sure if it’s a coincidence but that setting also happens to be the bandwidth setting I optimized my films to.

Hello -

It appears the issue has NOT been resolved. Please see attached server logs and XML file. The film is called “Get Out” and I played it at approximately 2am.

Any insight to what is causing this issue and how I can resolve it would be greatly appreciated.

Hi -

Thank you for the feedback. This is interesting. I watch my Plex films via the Apple TV plex client as well as chrome and safari browser via plex.tv. I’ve only experienced the intermittent pausing when I watch via browser over 5ghz wifi connection.

I’ve restarted my router and NAS. Hopefully I won’t experience it again.
