When watching files, more often than not I’m on my ATV3 or Nexus Player or Chromecast in front the TV.
When I want to know if the file played back is transcode or direct played, I usually have my phone or tablet accessible to me.
Plex web works on mobile, but when I access the “Now playing” page it is not easy to access the overlay to see what is transcoded or not… I have to do a sort-of-long-press and hope it doesn’t take me to the movie’s page or in the Chrome browser options for the displayed image… Also, when I finally see if video is transcode, I can’t see audio becUse the thumbnail/text box is too small.
TL;DR I wish for the direct play/direct stream/transcode information to be displayed at all times, under or besides the thumbnail, without requiring any type of “mouse over” operation
