When streaming videos, sometimes I want to know if I’m direct playing or transcoding files… To do this, I access the website with my closest web device, generally my phone (LG G4), or tablet (TabPRO 8.4 or iPad 4).
Problem is, on those devices the thumbnail for the now playing items is too small, so I can’t see the overlaid text there. Generally I’ll see the first line, example “transcoding”, but I can’t see the individual video and audio lines to see what’s being transcoded, or if it’s being direct streamed or whatnot.
Please either make those thumbnails bigger, or perhaps simply display this info under the thumbnail for an easier access to this important info.
2 screenshot from my phone showing what I mean… Also, getting there isn’t easy because it requires a" mouse over" trigger for the “i” to appear, which we need to press to see if its transcoding… On a touchscreen device, I have to slide my finger from the lower border of the thumbnail and then upwards, which often is registered as a press and brings me to the movie/episode’s page
Edit: of course all this could be avoided if it was possible to see if the file is transcoded/direct streamed/direct played directly on the device’s overlay, which might be tough for chromecast
You can’t read that when zoomed in? You can also turn the device to landscape and make it even bigger.
Yeah, the page was not designed for touchscreen devices and i have the sane problem getting to the i. I just hold down on the screen which brings up a menu of things to do. Tap outside that and the i is there. I don’t know if that is easier for you or not.
