Plex Windows Autoreboot Utility - Automatically Reboot your HTPC when Qutting plex

I did not see a feature for this already, so I created a quick little utility. Basically, this is for people who only use their HTPC for plex, and have it set to autostart. Place this EXE in your startup. If anyone accidentally exits plex, your machine will restart, thus starting plex again. There is a 30 second delay on start to give time to exit the app. I welcome any feedback. Again, I wrote this for my own use. If I see that this is useful for people, I will support it and enhance it. Perhaps by adding config files to suit more needs.

Enjoy.

I Like the idea but running an .exe file from an unknow source I doesn’t feel safe

I understand. I cannot force you to try this, but I assure you it does exactly what I am stating. I welcome your feedback to improve upon it. If I were to post a virus or something, I would be instantly banned.

Indeed, I wouldn’t either.

OP: Make the source code available or distribute it in a script that isn’t precompiled.

Its pretty basic… here ya go…

Sleep (30000)

While 1

If Not ProcessExists (“Plex Home Theater.exe”) Then
Shutdown (6)
Sleep (30000)
Else
Sleep (500)
EndIf
WEnd

Has anyone actually tried this now that you have your code?

Yes I have! It has been on my production system for a week now and does exactly what I need and you told it would do.
So thanks

Thanks. I am glad its working well.
