Bought a new laptop [Lenovo i5] to use as server. Everything working really well until…
Plex for Windows 1.31.1.2262 crashed and now won’t restart. I reinstalled with no change.
It opens and starts the process of showing my libraries, and then freezes.
Web works fine, HTPC works fine.
What should I try next?
Fixed the problem and thought I’d share the cure.
I uninstalled all players, not the server, so that I could identify the local app data folders that were not server related - and deleted them all.
Went into regedit and deleted all references not server related.
Reinstalled and now it works again
