PLEX 0.8.1 版本，也试过旧版本，系统在中文下，PLEX得菜单全部显示不了，SKIN 设置了 UNICODE 区域也设置中国，还是不行
换成英文系统就可以显示英文菜单，但设置好后，换回中文，还是那个问题。
可能是你的字体的问题，你的系统用的是英语还是中文啊？把系统换到中文系统下面试试看 
系统：idenbe10.5.8Lite 中文
我也是这个问题。中文系统下即使是英文菜单也是一个个方块口。切换到英文系统下可以看全部英文菜单，但是如下设置后再切换回中文系统，还是一个个方块口。
系统外观
1 apparance-look and feel-skin fonts-unicode
-region-chinese simplified (GBK)
字幕
2 vedios-subtitles-fonts-Arial
-charset-chinses simplified(GBK)

我的方法不知道是否对其它skin有效，
我使用Plexaeon的skin,
打开Plexaeon目录下的720P
备份Font.sml
把要使用的中文字体拷贝到Plexaeon目录下的fonts中，例如STHeiti.ttf
然后文本编辑器打开Font.xml
使用中文字体文件名 STHeiti.ttf 替换里面的 aeon_list_cy.ttf，保存
设置
Setting-Appearance-Look And Feel-Skin Fonts 使用 AEON_STANDARD
看到中文了。不再是方块
