After updating to 4.6.0 the Android Auto display no longer changes album art when the track changes, after being plugged into the AA USB the Home Tab stops populating only showing the spinning loading signal on the phone and a “No Items” (or something like that) notice on the car display.
Others are seeing the album art change affect the phone Now Playing display tool. All are requiring a phone restart to fix.

Also, donwloads no longer appears on android auto, so there is no way to access on device media on android!
After disconnecting from Android Auto the app is more or less completely broken. Home won’t load at all and nothing will play and you can’t change track. Only way to fix it is to Force Stop the app and reopen it.
Next release fixes.
It’s fixed, kinda, now it does not display the artwork for the current song. Oneplus 10 pro / 4.6.1
Is it just the art that doesn’t udpate? i.e. do the titles update @MKH1972?
Yeah, it’s just the artwork thst comes up missing (and thus the blurry background is also missing) , titles updates just fine now…

Well, honestly this problem has existed for a while now, personally I solved it with a task that opens Plexamp when entering Android Auto
