Plexamp - Add to queue from album is always adding first

Server Version#: Version 1.31.1.6716
Player Version#: 4.7.1

Usecase:

  1. Play an album (not a station or anything else with an implicit queue)
  2. Select another album
  3. Use “Add to Queue”

Expected result: Album is added to end of existing explicit queue
Actual result: Album is added first ahead of all tracks already in the queue

Note, if you are doing the “Add to queue” from a single track, it adds to the end as expected. It is when you attempt to add a full album that it jumps to the front.

This is a nuance explained here, the difference between playing the first track vs the whole album https://support.plex.tv/articles/202188298-play-queues/#toc-2

Jeez, I’ve been using Plexamp for a while now and assumed it was an unfixed bug with the queuing. It was driving me up the wall every time it slapped an entire album in the middle of another in the queue.

I’m guessing there’s no plans to have this as a toggle option for playback queues due to it being part of Plex itself and not specifically Plexamp?

i’ve considered adding a setting so that add to queue always adds to the end, but that could just make things even more confusing in other cases. for now, just remember to play the album with the large play button and not tapping the first track

Hah, yeah I could definitely see it contributing some confusion as well.

Easy work around at least, I’ll just remember to play via the button! Appreciate the quick response.

Brilliant, thank you for the workaround. I tested and it works.

Also, @elan , thank you for your continued driving of Plex. Plex is amazing and Plexamp is truly special.
