I’ve got a Pixel 4XL on 11 October security patch. I have a 2018 toyota and it’s paired to the phone via BlueTooth. In the audio player on the factory headunit, it can show me the media apps that it can see on my phone. I see DSub, PowerAmp, PocketCast but not Plexamp. I also don’t see any album/artist/track information for any song that’s playing. I don’t know if this is a bug or something that hasn’t been included. When I had Android Auto, this wasn’t a problem, but I have a different car now and AA isn’t an option currently. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

Probably only apps which support local playback show up? But I’m guessing.

You might be right. DSub is used to stream from a subsonic server, but it can also have synced local media. My wife has a 2013 Highlander. I’ll see if she uses Plexamp and sees media info. I’ll let you know.
