It’s slightly tricky (we have a few different processes, and the server one is more node than Electron). But we’d like to provider (better) support for running behind proxies in the future.

@elan If you need help beta testing this, I do have various proxies available to test with 
+1 if you need help testing. Currently running Ubuntu at work behind a CheckPoint proxy.
I would love this too. play my music at work will not be possible without proxy support, at least I assume that is the root cause of the “no servers found” message.
Beta testing offer also made: I’m running a Mac client behind a Bluecoat proxy.
Any news about proxy support ?

Hi @elan is there still no news on this? It has been 18 months now?
I did find that installing the Plex windows client allowed me to use Plexamp, but also, and more importantly, we got rid of our our proxy server. Lol
Sorry, we’ve been busy with a big upgrade. Post-upgrade if it’s still something which affects a lot of people, we’ll look into it

+1 here - PlexAmp is unusable behind a work proxy here (on Mac), which would make it really useful
Any insight as to what the big update will include?
Started a new job today and can’t connect as a proxy is required. Gutted
