I have noticed a bug, if I am listening to a playlist and pause the audio and close the app down so not even the now playing is showing on the phone, then connect to a bluetooth like my car the app will open and start playing even if bluetooth is not the active option in the car.
It shouldn’t play any media unless I tell it to.

Sometimes the car tells the phone to resume playing audio, and Android launches the last active audio app.
hi elan thanks for the reply, it could be but it’s only doing it with PlexAmp not Audible or any other music app (Google, Synology etc) and it plays when the bluetooth is not selected i.e. when on radio.
I get the same, and it is only sometimes. Like 2 out of 5 times. I do deliveries and am in and out of the car a lot, randomly, music will start playing. When it doesn’t, I can press play on my stereo and nothing happens
“randomly starts playing” will be fixed in the next release.
