Plexamp Android Phone Bluetooth Weird Behavior

Server: V1.20.2.3402
Plexamp: 3.2.2
Android 10 Pixel 2 Phone

So weird thing happened.

Bluetooth headset connected to phone. Listening to Plexamp. Close/exit Plexamp. Turn off headphones, Then turn off bluetooth connection on phone settings screen. So no more bluetooth.

Two days go by I haven’t connected any bluetooth device to my phone and bluetooth has been off in my settings. Fire up Plexamp, go into settings on my phone and tick Bluetooth to turn it on. As soon as bluetooth is turned on, music starts playing from plexamp out of my phones speakers.

I didn’t turn on/connect my headphones to the phone yet. I was about to do that, but music started playing as soon as I hit the bluetooth setting in my phone.

So, yeah, just wanted to let you know.

hmm, would need a log to see exactly what happened, but i think Android itself is the one who picks the last app who played music. if it started playing i would assume it must have gotten a command from the BT device, but again, w/o logs hard to say.

Hi Elan,

Ok cool. I private messaged you my logs. Thank you.

wonder if this is related to the issue I had where plexamp would start playing the last played song when my phone disconnected from my cars Bluetooth?

i don’t believe so.

Ok. So bluetooth triggered Plexamp to start playing again. My bluetooth was off, my headphones were not even in the same room. I turned bluetooth on and Plexamp started playing music again. It started playing the last song I was listening to last night.

I will DM you my logs again so you have a second data point to look at.

pretty sure i see what’s going on :+1:

Cool. Glad I could help. And now I know my phone is not self aware.

it’s a good race condition, we’ll try to have it fixed for the next release; otherwise, the one after that.
