Plexamp crashes when trying to load large files (200 meg m4b)

Is there a size limit on the file Plexamp streams? I have large audiobooks (200 megs and over) that will download and play just fine, but Plexamp refuses to stream and play any file that large.

Curious is this is an easy fix or known issue?

I have the same issue non of my audiobooks are playing download or streaming
since last night update

I don’t think there was an update last night.

Please post logs, there shouldn’t be a limit.

Elan, thank you for your reply.

I’ve included my log file from iPhone Plexamp 3.3.1. I was trying to play a long m4b, “Terence McKenna / Appreciating Imagination - Terence McKenna” and it fails and falls back to a non playing state. It does this with any audiobook that’s large. 100%, every time.

I have Plexamp version 3.1.1 on my iPad. It loads the file but does not play it. Then, I can back out of the file, go back in and it plays.

Both versions play if I download the file. I can see in the logs it’s having an issue finding the file then caching it.

Again, 100% reproducible with any large file, just gave you the logs for the one example of “Terence McKenna / Appreciating Imagination - Terence McKenna”(File removed) .

(To be technically correct, this isn’t “crashing”, this is failure to initiate playback.)

This points to a caching issue. Any chance you can provide one of the files? I have plenty of large files this doesn’t happen with.

Correct. Falls back to a non-play state, will not play.
