I use Plexamp with my Tidal account on my Android phone.
I have one playlist with my full collection of music, obviously very big (some 3800 songs) but as far as I know there is no other way of shuffle- playing with all my music included (is there?).
Plexamp struggles to start shuffle-playing the playlist. I would chalk it up only to problem of the playlist size, however, a) it used to be able to start the playlist in the past, the problem is quite recent, and b) TIDAL app has no problem to shuffle-play it directly.
I tried to reinstall Plexamp but didn’t help. Do you have any suggestions?
When I created the playlist first it did not start. Clicking the playlist it loaded some of the first songs I added but when I clicked the shuffle button it hanged for about 2 minutes and then returned “unable to load”.
Then i realised that when I’m in the playlist with the first few songs displayed, and then wait a bit with the scroll-down, it slowly continues loading the songs in batches of about 15-20. So I patiently did so but after about the fifteenth batch the loaded playlist suddenly went empty.
Then for a few weeksI was able to shuffle-play the playlist: it gave me a big hang time but it was successful.
For the last three days, it is again “unable to load media” like in the beginning, and this time the batch-loading no longer does the trick.
It does not work with the main Plex app either, nor does it work on the PC… BUT it does work with Tidal app, but I’d prefer Plexamp (I can rate them).
