Plexamp Headless on x86 and not available at 32500

Is there any way to get headless Plexamp for the Pi to run on other Linux hardware / distros? I tried loading it on my Intel-14700K Ubuntu 24 server under home/username instead of home/pi with the plexamp.service file modified accordingly. But nothing opens at IP-Address:32500

Maybe not too surprising as when I enter, “node /home/username/plexamp/js/index.js”, I get the following:

Note: I run Plex Server on my NAS, not on the Ubuntu Server

headless does support linux x64

what version of node do you have installed?
(headless requires version 20)

Sorry, should have mentioned… am on node version 20.19.2

thanks … in that case, would help to post headless logs (~/.cache/Plexamp/log) if they exist

works for me on x86_64 ubuntu 22.04

this error looks as though it’s not seeing your plex server for some reason

Update: Went away to the Munich High End audio show for a day. And now that I am back, after another identical restart to the ones before, Plexamp headless is running fine on my Ubuntu 24 x86_64 machine.

It only seems to see the physical hardware attached, and not the experimental Inferno virtual sound card from GitHub though. I sent some queries to the folks who have been working on that with Plexamp headless on an actual Pi, asking them for tips.

Thanks for your comments back. Just knowing that it can work helped me persevere!
