1. In the desktop app on the Artist page, would it be possible to experiment with putting the Artist Bio in a tidy clickable window in the empty space on the opposite side (far right) of where the artist’s name and the icons are?

I feel like it would look good there. It’d be nice to see a quick blurb on the artist at first glance without needing to scroll down to find it.

I did a quick mock-up of what it could look like.

2. Another suggestion for Desktop specifically is moving this pop-up window…

…which appears when clicking on the library selector at the top left of the app, to display right below the drop-down option, since your mouse cursor is already right there.

Having it open in the middle of the screen is a bit…unexpected, I feel.

3. Getting back to the Artist screens, we have track sections for Popular, Favorite, Recently Played, and Most Played tracks. Would it be feasible to add a section to the existing carousel for All tracks? Even the Popular section doesn’t typically list all tracks, so it’s not a fully functional solution.

I do realize that one can accomplish this using filters in the Tracks section of your music collection, but it would be truly wonderful to access this from the Artist screen.

4. Another suggestion for the Artist screen: I would love to see playlists that include that artist, display in the Appears On section of that artist’s page - or perhaps in a newly created section below this that would be specifically for playlists and collections where the artist is included.

5. Lastly, playlist sorting/searching from within a playlist would be a hugely beneficial addition to Plexamp, in my opinion.

Thanks for all of the great work you’ve put into the app, Elan. I’m a big fan of the work you’ve put in to get it to where it is today. I’m truly loving these recent beta updates. I also appreciate you being so open to suggestions/improvements on what is already a primo music app!

Playlist search has been requested quite a bit on the forum and on Reddit too. Would love to see this added. Partially I would love to see plexamp try and implement a recommended page within this search section similar to what Spotify has. It be nice for Plexamp to use sonic analysis to recommend a track that can come afterwards that’s maybe similar or has different characteristics like in Sonic DJ.

Artist bio I partially agree with as well. I have wanted Plexamp to implement a similar bio style to Plex desktop that puts the bio on the front and on display than hidden below but I think I should have its own row below on the left as the mock up you showed is awkwardly placed and can be better.

It be even cooler if plexamp can extend an artist page by having external links to other platforms similar to when you copy a share link for a album and it gives you info for other platforms you can find the album on. Maybe even go a bit further and include more than just DSPs and add additional sites like Musicbrainz and Last.FM using the existing data when you match a file to Musicbrainz to begin with.

Along with this adding the country tag back would be great. Essentially trying to get plexamp to include information that was already present on Plex desktop.
