Apparently there’s an internal Linux version but it’s not quite ready for the prime time.
I’d be happy to do some beta testing on Ubuntu though
Hopefully there will be a beta release or the like for us to have a play with.
I came here to ask about a Linux version as well considering that it is using Electron and mpd, should be easy to port. I can test it on Arch, Fedora, and Ubuntu.
I would love for this to get a dedicated raspberry pi image, like Volumio or Rune Audio. I have a headless setup right now using Volumio but this just feels so much more polished already, in its first release. Couple it with it’s own iOS/Android app or remote support from the standard Plex app, and it would be absolutely fantastic.
If there ends up being a Linux beta please sign me up for the beta.
So very hungry for a linux version.
Yes please.
I would love a version for Linux…
+1 for Linux, especially Arch. Android, AndroidTV versions would be cool. I usually cast to my ChromeCast Audio or Google Home speakers, but if I get sexy visualisations I might start casting to the Nexus Player…
+1 – I’ll take a version for any distro
+1 - audiophile deserves more consideration. And that looks like an interesting developement.
Ever planning to release the source? so we can tweak it, compile it and spread the plex love ?
Also awaiting a Linux version, and Android. Fire too, add my daughter has a fire HD.
I’ve got mint cinnamon fyi.
Just also wanted to say I desperately want this for Linux, as I am in the look for a gapless playback client for either Plex or Emby, and if Plex is first, then I also consider buying the Pass. Any ETA for this?
I would love a version that can accept CLI input so that I can put it on a Raspberry Pi and have it respond to GPIO pins
Linux client would be great!
Cheers,
Stefan
+1 for the Linux client… can’t wait to whoop some llamas ass
+1 for a Linux beta! I’m currently using Fedora.
Please don’t tempt me to convert to Windows-10 on account of plexamp. I have used linux for my primary desktop since 1994. Plexamp is absolutely great.
I’ve only been using Linux as my primary for the last 4-5 years, but I’ll definitely never go to Windows 10 or Mac now. Please give us Plexamp! Even if it’s only in Alpha.
Next release, promise.
