Plexamp Metadata feature requests

First, let me state that I’m new to Plexamp and I am so excited for the potential of this software. With a couple of tweaks, this could allow me to buy phones with less storage and just stream all my music from my Plex Media Server. I have found a couple of things that are preventing that at this point and they both have to do with metadata handling.

  1. This one is minor and only annoying: When creating Smart Playlists, choosing the Artist Title only refers to the Album Artist. If I wish to include tracks that are on Compilations, I can’t because the Album Artist is Various Artists. The ability to use Track Artist would make this issue vanish.
  2. This one is the dealbreaker for me: No Composer field support. I have a great number of classical recordings in my collection and without the Composer field, Plexamp is nearly useless for classical music.

Here’s hoping these things can be addressed and I’ll be able to make the full migration to Plexamp!

Its getting close to a decade since this feature request was created Better support for albums and tracks with multiple artists and we are still waiting …
