Plexamp occasional crackling/clipping artifcacts?

edit: the below post was an feature request for an unrelated issue. My issue was thankfully resolved tho… so i’ve changed the title to better help others with a similar issue but are audio-plebs like me :slight_smile:

Hey! Just wondering if there’s any plan for adding an exclusive USB audio mode to bypass the android driver in a similar fashion to UAPP??
Big fan of plexamp and the work done so far, but holy crap the android driver 44k upsampling to 48k sucks. I believe this is the cause for my music constantly clipping or having that crackling sound occasionally :sob:

Go into the Advanced settings.
Set the Preamp to 0 dB
Disable the limiter

Try playing the same song which produced the crackling before.
Sound might be quieter now, but should be without the artifacts which a limiter can occasionally produce.

resampling doesn’t lead to those sorts of artifacts.
