Plexamp on Mac: Stop after current album

I’m a newbie to Plexamp and loving it so far.

On my Mac, it appears to automatically choose something else to play when the current item ends. Is there a way to get it not to do that? Sometimes I’m playing an album as I go to sleep, or want time to think about what I just heard before something else starts…

this is a feature that was recently added to the new version

Settings -> Playback -> Autoplay

from this menu you can disable/enable and select how autoplay decisions are made if it is enabled

Or you can also swipe to get the left-most card, which is the Silence card

Well, Settings -> Playback -> Autoplay looks like it’s working for albums.

If I’m just playing a track, though, whether I have the toggle on or off, it still says “Enabled / Silence is not golden.” and it continues on to the next track on the album. Should this work for a single track? Have I missed something?

And how would I swipe to a card on a Mac desktop without a touch screen?

single tracks are essentially the equivalent of an album, b/c we queue up the track around the album.

What does that mean?

if you play a track, the entire album is queued around the track which is playing, so that if you hit :previous_track_button: or :next_track_button: it moves around in the album.

So if I queue up a single track, I queue up the entire album? If I queue up one track, I only want the one track. How do I keep this from happening?

there’s no way at the moment. if you have a queue already there, you can add a single track to it.

Huh. So it this the right place to file a Plexamp feature request? If so, I think a switch like that for Autoplaying albums would be an obvious (and simple?) improvement.

i think in the future we’ll allow queuing a single track when there’s no play queue, so if you play it, it would add the entire album, but if you add to queue it would just add/play the single track.

Would also like the option to play a Station after an album, don’t always want to listen to the same artist.

swipe the card and you have your wish

I’m sorry, I don’t know what that means.

Figured it out, had no clue there was a swippy thing at the bottom of the play queue.

it’s idiomatic, now you’ll never forget!
