Plexamp Autoplay on Mac version has no effect (no albums queued up after current album)

Plexamp 3.5.0, running on latest Mac OS Big Sur.

I cannot get Autoplay to work like it does on the iOS app(s). Steps to reproduce:

  • Go to settings > Playback > Autoplay, make sure Enabled is ON, Album Direction is Next Album.
  • Go to Library > Albums, click on an Album, click on Play.
  • The album is queued, however at the bottom instead of seeing “Next Album”, I see “Silence. The party is over”. I made sure there are later albums for this artist and I tried it many times.

Not sure what’s going on here, this works as expected on the iOS apps.

Is anyone else seeing this? I’m a relatively new user, only a couple of months, suggestions welcome. I’m also happy to help debug if any of the developers want me to.

Swipe left/right to select the Auto Play mode you want (right now it’s disabled).

Wow, had no idea that gesture existed there. I discover hidden interactions like that every once in a while, and they’re delightful to find. That said, is there a definitive, complete manual for Plexamp?
