I don’t use the Plexamp on my reaspberry pi 5 on a regular basis. Last time I used it worked fine. Today, I could not get it to play anything. After selecting a song, it just either hangs, or pops a message stating it could not start the player. I have tried from an iPad, Dell notebook and the Plexamp web interface. I have reinstalled the plexamp headless application without it resolving the issue. The only changes I am aware of, are updates for the PI OS, which I install regularly. The last one suggested I change to LABWC, which I did. Once I realized plexamp was no longer working, I changed it back. It still does not work. I have the logs from today and will attempt to attach. The service states it is running and I can connect to the web gui. Shy of wiping the Pi and starting over from scratch, I have no clue as to how to resolve this. Any help would be appreciated.

Nothing obviously wrong, it looks like it’s opening the default device and playing to it. You have a lot of stuff going on in the audio devices, so make sure you select the right one using the Plexamp web app connecting to the device.
Thank you for the quick reply.
I had tried changing the audio device in the web app yesterday without success. I returned it the default setting. I did notice that the name got changed to “browser” instead of PlexAmpPi. For what ever reason, when I changed it back, it starting working last night.
Today, it did not work again. The name did not change. I found I had been logged out of the web app. I logged back in and it is working again.
I’ll see what happens tomorrow.
Sorry it’s taken 6 days to respond.
It did not work the following day and I could not get it working no matter what I tried.
Finally, in desperation, I wiped the the PI and reinstalled everything. It has worked flawlessly since.
Thank you for your help and for providing such a wonderful piece of software.
I’m sorry you had to go through the trouble, but glad it’s working well now!
