  1. On a MAC can I stream 24/96 flac files located on NAS without transcoding.

Yes

Re: #1 now that gets my attention!

Re:#2 I take it you don’t know who at Plex I might get a clear response as you provided to question #1?

Only because I don’t understand what the question is  (and we’ve gone off-topic).

Can you be a bit more specific? We scan, analyze, and stream out those files just fine. If they’re not Direct Played, it’s a function of the client either knowing or thinking it can’t, and so a transcode occurs.

My apologies looking back I should not have asked question #2 as it relates to Plex Media Server and not PlexAmp. In the event you know someone that supports Plex Media Server kindly forward my question if possible. Next time I post here will be only about my experience / question about PlexAmp. Question below. Thank you

Plex media server installed on Synology NAS streams 24/96 flac files to Roku which is connected to Yamaha AVR via optical cable. Just want to know if my 24/96 flac files is transcoded by Plex to some other Non lossless format like AAC or MP3.

Gotcha! That question would be best asked in the Roku forum, given that it is the one deciding whether or not it can play those without transcoding.

I really enjoy this app. I want the same thing on mobile now. The radio function is great, can we get that on normal Plex too?

I am going to voice some praise as well. I stopped using iTunes years ago once I found plex. Plexamp brings back one of the things I missed was the mini player and the visualization. At first there wasn’t a way to shuffle your entire library, but since the Library Radio was added this solved my only major gripe with Plexamp. I use this on my computers in my home, stream at my school/work. Home run for you all on this.

Praise here as well.

Sitting here at work playing some playlists and the overlap track function sounds great. Seamless transitions from one track to he next.

And the radio function, well it brings up some surprises!! But nice surprises!!

Gapless playback of albums as well, FANTASTIC!!

This playback engine is what you need in all of the Plex clients. It will elevate the platform unbelievably!!

Great work.
