Hi all,
I’m not sure if this is a bug or missing a small piece of functionality that was overlooked.
For context: from the Plexamp blog:
We built Plexamp v3 to handle this range of scenarios with the powerful offline functionality, aggressive track pre-caching, and by saving playbacks and ratings during intermittent connectivity until they can be sent to the server.
So from my understanding and testing I believe this is only works when starting a session while connected to the server.
But if I start a listening session from a downloaded playlist (with or without a connection to the PMS) rating songs are not synchronised.
On the player I can rate a downloaded song and when I do a search for the same device on the same player. The rating is not applied. When I go back to the downloaded playlist, the songs rating is still there.
Seems to me that the downloaded playlists are kept separate/independent from the library.
I’ve done what I would consider a significant amount of tests. Windows PMS, Android Plexamp, Linux Plexamp, Windows Plexamp and numerous different synchronising workflows and server connection workflows.
Ideally, I would be able to press play on a downloaded playlist and rate a song, if the device is not connected to the server, it will update the rating upon next connection.
