Plexamp Requests/Suggestions

For this kind of thing, you are better off using the regular plex app, at the moment. It has the necessary filters.

Unless you employ a workaround, by creating smart playlists for each of your (at least the primarily-used) genres.

Yes, thanks.

Some genres are missing when compared to the server genre list.

There is a server-side minimum of 15 albums for a radio to appear.
You can change that and see if it fits your use case better.

Tried it…just gives me a very large list of tracks…unwieldy.

Of course. But should be sufficient if you just want to shuffle it.

How is that different from what ‘radio’ does?

Depends which kind of Radio you are referring to.

Radio in general is sorting tracks and is putting more popular and highly rated tracks first. Recently played tracks are shoved to the end, together with less popular and low-rated songs.
‘Artist Radios’ only take the initial artist as a starting pint, and they then branch out to ‘related artists’ and include their tracks into the radio, using similar rules as above.

If you want to shuffle all tracks, you cannot use a ‘radio’.

I’d really like to be able to see the entire currently playing playlist when it’s a fixed number of tracks. It’s kind of weird that I have to enlarge the PlexAmp window to view the entire list.

Thanks for that, and I’m really sorry to hear about your friend.

The new music metadata system we released late last year was a massive upgrade, and included a number of fixes for people who consider tags gold. Without further details, however, it’s a bit tricky to give you a specific answer
