PlexAmp & saved music on android phone

I am a registered PlexPass user and using regular Plex I’ve saved my entire music collection on the external micro SD card in my android Galaxy S9 smart phone. I (used to) travel a lot and it’s nice to have the collection for offline listening.

I recently tried PlexAmp and really like it. It’s much more flexible than playing music through regular Plex. But, it doesn’t seem to use the same local music repository that regular Plex does. As soon as I put it in airplane mode, the music stops.

I don’t want to re-download all my music for PlexAmp then have 2 copies of everything on my internal SD card.

Can I point PlexAmp to my existing repository of saved music? If not, can I move my collection from the regular Plex storage location to PlexAmp’s storage location?

Any suggested solutions? My existing collection is 35 GB on my Windows 10 server. Not small but not huge.

No and No. Have you tried enabling the regular Plex app to act as a server. I haven’t actually tried, but that’s what the feature is there for. You can then change PlexAmp to use the regular app as your PMS and read the synced content.
