All the “station” in Style and Mood radio is named (1) Radio. They have the correct name in Windows Plexamp.
we’ll need more details than that, all the stations are returned from the server and should be identical between windows and iOS
Having the same problem, it is working on Android and Windows but on iOS it is just the same as you with 1 on the stations.
It seems to be a server bug which is improperly localizing for Swedish.
Great, I hope there is a fix on it’s way?
Thanks!
Bernt
Any news on this?
This is one of two things that prevent me from use Plex as a music player.
The other is that Various artists album is not included in mixes.
Hi! Anything new on this topic? It´s a very annoying issue since the “radio function” is one of the most important feature, atleast for me.
sorry, i’ve asked internally to see when it will be fixed.
Ok thanks, did you get any feedback on the issue?
It’ll be in the next server beta.
Great news!
After many years of waiting for PLEX to be the perfect music player there is only one issue\feature left, include compalitions\albums with Various artists in the Album Artist field to the mixes.
Best Regards
Bernt
Hmm, those should all scan under Various Artists, I would have thought, unless perhaps you have prefer local metadata. In that case, we don’t have any way of knowing it’s a compilation album as we don’t keep that information around.
I’m confused by your reply. I have local metadata enabled, and all of my compilation albums (Various Artists) show up as expected as compilations in Plexamp. That is, I have 107 albums under Various Artists, and Plexamp shows me I have 107 compilations.
I have added some of the albums to the Musicbrainz database, but I know for sure there are almost half of them (53 to be exact) that are not matched. It would seem that Plex knows they are compilation albums…
It was suggested that there may be some improvement in the thread @ottovonkopp linked to above, but that would mean Plex would have to use the “Track Artist” metadata. That was almost a year ago,
we don’t flag the album as being a compilation. plexamp is just showing you what’s in Various Artists
, no more, no less.
Various Artists album shows under Various Artists as they should, BUT no songs from Various Artists albums is played in mixes, not even in the Library mix.

If you mean library radio, the only criteria there is that there is popularity data for the albums.
I mean Library Radio or any other type of radio. Prefer local metadata is not enabled.
I use foobar2000 to tag the music.
Compalition is set to 1.
Here is one example how I tag using foobar2000.
Artist Name, Miss Li
Track Title, Komplicerad
Album Title, Absolute Music 88
Album Artist,
Same song in PMS. The albums show up under Various Artists.
Album Artist, Various Artists
Album, Absolute Music 88
Title, Komplicerad
Artist,
Is the problem that “Artist” is empty? How should I tag so VA albums get included in Radio mixes?
Regards
Bernt
hmm, i think maybe the issue is that:
- various artists aren’t “similar” to other artists.
- we don’t treat track artists as first class artists.
as such, i think it makes sense as things are now that you wouldn’t see V/A tracks in there.
