Well that’s crazy complicated! I just want to be able to share with my friends what I am listening to in PLexAmp when playing it on my phone. This seems REALLY complicated for that

i don’t use social media so i don’t know how to or haven’t looked into sharing said info… maybe someone more knowledgeable (@TeknoJunky or @aubrey.wodonga) knows how.

AFAIK, there are no webhooks/plugins/apps that will share to facebook/twitter/etc.

However you can share your listens either linking to last.fm @ https://plex.tv/users/other-services

or as above, linking to listenbrainz (open source site similar to last.fm) via Eavesdrop.FM: Sync Plex Music listens to ListenBrainz

If you don’t want to build something with webhooks, an alternative (as @TeknoJunky suggested) is to send your listening data to last.fm. To do this:

Once you’ve done that, you can use an automation service like IFTTT to automatically share from last.fm to Facebook, Twitter, or your social network of choice. Here is an example recipe:
