Plexamp Tidal music Low Volume and/or Low Quality

This is happening on iOS and Windows clients. Server is up to date running in a docker container on Ubuntu.

It seems like a lot of tracks from Tidal only play in AAC 96, rather than either FLAC or a higher bitrate. Also, the volume for many tracks (unrelated to the bitrate) is extremely low.

The normal Plex app doesn’t seem to have these issues, so I’m assuming this is a bug with Plexamp? Can anyone confirm if this is happening for them as well, or if it’s an issue on my end.

I have the same issue on Android, iOS and Mac OS. This started to happen about a month ago. I posted here on the forum but got no response from anyone so thought it was my problem alone. I hope your post gets more attention than mine did.

I’ve had the same problem as well: one of the versions of the new Taylor Swift album had the issue, but not others
